Conquests of the undefeatable,
Undefinable,
Yet so always lovely things in life.
Of all the in-betweens.
Wanting the core of what other views bring.
Emotions of music and all it describes.
We all want the movies and dreams Hollywood so
Profoundly displays.
Perfection is desired and
no mercy is acheived.
Always in the right place at the wrong time.
What my pen scratches and scribbles makes sense only to the gods watching.
But the authors of such things only find the words that seem to transcend from spirits
And the waves of sound.
Crashing forces in an
everchanging universe of
Solitude.
We find the gift
But unrightfully claim it as our own.
Time to change
Let us move on.
And buy our leather coats and eat salads with light dressing.
Eat our surroundings and usually receive nothing
But the calories and fat,
Sugar and flavor staying behind
As a shadow
That doesn't leave.
Until we find the shade.

i really dont know what to say....i rreally like this, but i think it could be a bit less cryptic, like at the beggining, but you get a good point across. i can totally see what you're saying.

i am pretty impressed with the language...it conveys a sense of sophistication and innocent ignorance at the same time. i would like there to be a little more imagery for clarification...maybe a connection of the different metaphors....be it through mini-titles (dividing the poem into sections...like those of a song)...or some other connecting device to make the whole thing more congruent. overall, i love it...it's powerful and clever.
